DIGITALS

WHAT ARE DIGITALS?

Digitals are raw, untouched portraits, often called "Polaroids," capturing your current natural appearance. They're crucial for submitting to agencies and potential clients directly.

These images show you without the styling and retouching of your portfolio. They help clients visualize your on-set look, including makeup, hair, and wardrobe. Update them every 6 months to a year, or if your style changes (haircut, etc.).

Standard practice: white wall, soft natural lighting, no retouching. Temporary things like pimples aren't a concern; clients know they can be managed on-set.

WHAT TO WEAR

Simple, form-fitted casual clothing or swimwear with minimal accessories and heels (or plain sneakers for men). Black is industry standard, but white/gray/denim works as well.

Hair down, natural. Maybe tied back for some shots if long. Minimal makeup, if any at all - concealer, mascara. Clean nails, normal facial hair.

Double-check agency guidelines before the shoot for any special requests!

DIGITALS SESSION OVERVIEW

Your Digitals session will last about 30 minutes. Don't worry, it's straightforward and nothing to be anxious about! Make sure to rest well, stay hydrated, and moisturize before the session.

During the session, we'll capture different angles for Digitals: full-length body shots, ¾ portraits, close-up headshots, and profile shots. We'll take both smiling and non-smiling photos, and if your hair is long enough, bring a tie for some shots with your hair tied back.

That's all there is to it! Different agencies have varied guidelines, but this range of photos will have you covered. Remember to keep your Digitals updated, especially if you've recently changed your appearance.
